Create customer

In the app: Customers → New Customer. From the terminal:

hookmyapp customers new "Acme Corp"

If your own system already has an ID for this customer, attach it so the two stay linked:

hookmyapp customers new "Acme Corp" --external-id crm-123

You can also skip this step entirely: an onboarding link that is not tied to an existing customer creates one automatically when the customer connects.

Work with customers

# Every customer in your organization
hookmyapp customers list

# Make Acme the active customer
hookmyapp customers use "Acme Corp"

# Show the active customer
hookmyapp customers current

After customers use, every channel and webhook command runs against that customer, so hookmyapp channels list shows channels for Acme, not yours.

Move channel

Channels can move between customers:

hookmyapp channels move ch_AAAAAAAA "Acme Cafe"

Point it at a channel ID, <phone>, or @<username>, and at a customer name or ws_ ID. Forwarding settings travel with the channel.
