HookMyApp charges for platform access. Meta charges you directly for messages. The two are billed separately, and HookMyApp never takes a cut of your Meta spend.

What does HookMyApp charge for?

Platform access, priced by monthly message volume:
  • Forwarding and routing inbound messages to your code
  • The hosted sandbox for testing
  • Connected channels and credential management
  • Webhook delivery logs and the Deliveries panel

What does Meta charge for?

Meta bills per delivered template message, charged to the payment method on your WhatsApp Business Account.
Message typeCost
Template messagesCharged by Meta (rate varies by category and country)
Free-form replies inside the 24-hour customer service windowFree
Utility templates inside an open service windowFree
Rates vary by template category (marketing, utility, authentication) and the recipient’s country. See Meta’s WhatsApp pricing.

Who bills the Meta fees?

Meta does, directly to your WABA payment method. HookMyApp does not bill Meta fees on your behalf and adds no per-message markup. Your number stays yours, and your Meta conversation costs go straight to Meta. This is the difference from a BSP like Twilio, which bundles and marks up Meta’s fees.

What counts toward my message limit?

Messages routed through HookMyApp, inbound and outbound, count toward your monthly plan volume. For the exact counting rules and overage behavior, see hookmyapp.com.

Is the sandbox free?

Yes. The sandbox is a free, shared test number and account. Use it to build and test before connecting your own number. Meta does not bill sandbox traffic.
