List your posts

This is where media ids come from. Post insights, comments, and share calls all take a media id from this list. Story metrics use the id from your story’s publish response instead, and account insights take your account id directly.

The response is newest first and paginated. Follow paging.next for older posts.

children returns the items inside a carousel.

Field	What you get
`media_type`	`IMAGE`, `VIDEO`, or `CAROUSEL_ALBUM`
`media_product_type`	`FEED`, `REELS`, or `STORY`
`like_count`, `comments_count`	Engagement counts
`permalink`	Public URL of the post
`media_url`	Direct media URL. Expires, so fetch it fresh

Story ids

A story’s media id comes back from the publish call that created it. Keep it, because it does not appear in the media list above.

List your posts with MCP

list_instagram_media returns your published posts, or the posts that tagged you with source tagged, and a single post with its carousel items. get_instagram_account returns your profile and, on request, your publishing quota.
